I know what kind of music I like, and no one can tell me any different.
That said...

There are two that I consider to be quintessential concept albums; and I have both-

2112- Rush

and

Operation: Mindcrime-Queensryche

I'd also put Rick Wakeman's Journey to the Center of the Earth on the list. It's not high on the popularity list, but it's a fantastic album, nonetheless.UnHoly Diverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17187969959701732817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6655617161530874632.post-92079026925485075132009-05-09T23:27:00.000-05:002009-05-09T23:27:00.000-05:00I've always loved Desperado, but I'd have to put Q...I've always loved Desperado, but I'd have to put Quadrophenia as my number one. It's just so damn good...and it doesn't get any better for The Who than "The Real Me" or "5:15". Maybe other than Dark Side of the Moon, I think Quadrophenia has the best flow and continuity of any album. Plus, it's a double album.

Of course, you can't go wrong with any of the Pink Floyd or Jethro Tull offerings.

Also, what about Styx's "The Grand Illusion"? Not too bad.Whizkidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11597160938212697599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6655617161530874632.post-2176380985321873512009-05-09T14:37:00.000-05:002009-05-09T14:37:00.000-05:00Sean, I agree -- I'm not too fond of this guy's ar...Sean, I agree -- I'm not too fond of this guy's articles... I just really like lists!
And, haha, I will admit that I am guilty of liking Taylor Swift... He needs to get away from the mirror and start actually listening to the music that he's writing about. I'm surprised that Miley Cyrus' latest didn't make the cut :)Sean Colemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17948887847361064889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6655617161530874632.post-4033269441140898012009-05-08T19:01:00.000-05:002009-05-08T19:01:00.000-05:00HAHA, oh Emily... if T Swift had any concept album...HAHA, oh Emily... if T Swift had any concept albums, she would definitely be on my list.
:)classicrockforthesoulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18285197725875713306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6655617161530874632.post-9542243205967976562009-05-08T18:58:00.000-05:002009-05-08T18:58:00.000-05:00Any Album by Taylor Swift is a go for me....oops I...Any Album by Taylor Swift is a go for me....oops I guess that is not Classic Rock.
