Happy Birthday, Mick Taylor!
He turns 61 today.
Here he is with the Rolling Stones in 1972 -- "Gimme Shelter":
Also, I encourage you to check out this interesting article that talks more about the above solo.
Questions:
1. Rolling Stones with Mick Taylor or without him?
2. Team Coco or Team Leno?
3. Team Brown or Team Coakley?
I'd like to send a shout-out thank you to Mr. Martin Luther King, Jr!! :)
Have a great rest of your weekend, guys! And remember to keep those in Haiti in your prayers. If you can't donate your time or money, prayers are always welcome and effective.

About Classic rock girl!
I'm a college student who grew up two decades too late and missed out on some fantastic music. I relive those years through this blog, by talking about anything and everything rock music related from the '60s, '70s, and '80s-- with some of "today's" music thrown in for good measure. Enjoy!

Definitely Stones with Mick Taylor! The rest, I dunno.
Stones with Mick Taylor, and I'm gonna be on Team Coco all the way ! :) Don't know about the last question much ...
1. Stones with Taylor.
2. I like Conan, but don't know if he was right in that time slot. It's turned into a big mess.
3. Team Brown.
I was in Port-au-Prince 30 years ago. My heart breaks for the people there. We're donating funds and praying...
1. Definitely Stones with Taylor since he was there for my two favorite Stones albums...Exile on Main St. and Goat's Head Soup. Proably the best musician the Stones ever had.
2. Neither. I'm disgusted with the whole lot of them, including Letterman.
3. Brown. Duh!
"Gimme Shelter" is my all-time favorite pool-shootin' song!
Man, I have a lot to say about Conan and Letterman. I think I'll have to blog about it.
Stones with Brian Jones. Far more creative than they were without his influence. Taylor was/is a brilliant player, though he was not the musical all-rounder that Jones was.
TV is a huge waste of time, especially with what the networks are passing off as programming.
I won't make comment on US politics. Not my place.
It is heartbreaking to see such a disaster hit anywhere in the world, though it is especially cruel that it had to be Haiti. The world's response is very positive.
General consesus = Stones with Taylor. Good choice!
Conan is officially a goner... love you long time, Coco!
P.S. Sean & Linda, no idea why it sent your comments to comment moderation when I don't have that... hmmm.
