Eric Clapton turns 64 today!I know this is the second post in a row about EC and you're all sick of hearing about him, so I'll shut up.
However, I suggest you take 10 minutes to listen to an EC song of your choice today. Just in honor of him being him. And still being alive and well. :)
P.S. That dog isn't doing what you think he's doing. Well okay, he is... but from reading
this article, I don't think EC would mind much anymore anyway.

That's an awesome pic. Any idea when/where it was taken?
This is taken from whereseric.com, although I'm not sure if this specific picture is what is referenced, but most likey it is:
"The phrase “Clapton is God ” originated during Eric's tenure with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers.
It was during this time that Eric first rose to prominence in the burgeoning British Blues scene. The phrase “Clapton is God” was spray painted on a wall in the Underground station in Islington in the mid-60s by an admirer. Islington is one of the many boroughs of the greater London Area. It then began to appear in other areas of the city.
The graffiti was captured in a now-famous photograph. Helped by the photo, the legend grew."
First, I never get sick of hearing about Slowhand.I can't wait to see him again in June with Steve Winwood.
Second, you are doing a fabulous job on this blog! Keep up the wonderful work!
Love that photo.
Classic.
Apparently, that IS a photo of the original grafitti at the Islington Underground station in London. I figured it was a staged photo made later.
After I saw him in '90, my brother-in-law asked me how the concert was. I replied, "you know that 'Clapton is God' picture? It's right."
