Best Albums of 1973

I'm glad I'm not the only music nerd out there. :)

To kick off this week, let's list our favorite albums from 1973-
Here's mine:

~Desperado - Eagles

~Brothers and Sisters - Allman Bros.

~Eric Clapton's Rainbow Concert (Thanks, r&rguru!) Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Ronnie Wood, Steve Winwood, and Ric Grech all jamming together? Yes, please!

~Goats Head Soup - Rolling Stones

~Pronounced... - Lynyrd Skynyrd's debut album

~Mystery to Me - Fleetwood Mac - Although I prefer "Ebony Eyes" (on Bob Welch's solo French Kiss) over "Emerald Eyes," I listen straight through just to get to Christine McVie's "Why." There's plenty of good songs on there besides "Hyponotized."

So... what new records were spinning on your turntable in '73?

P.S. This just makes me extremely happy:

Whizkid beat me to the 'Tres Hombres' ZZ Top punch, but how about these three pre-punk glam masterpieces:
The Stooges 'Raw Power'
the New York Dolls Debut
T Rex 'Tanx'
Not to mention the Stones' 'Goats Head Soup'

Some awesome albums mentioned so far to be sure.

Definitely Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Stones.

Also:

Edgar Winter -- They Only Come Out at Night
Steely Dan -- Can't Buy a Thrill
Blue Oyster Cult -- Tyranny & Mutation
Deep Purple -- Who Do We think We Are ("Woman From Tokyo" is on this album)
Aerosmith -- Aerosmith
Peter Frampton -- Frampton's Camel ("Do You Feel Like We Do" and "Lines on My Face" love it!!)
Wishbone Ash -- Wishbone Four
Chicago -- VI (just being honest)
Procol Harum -- Grand Hotel

Reliving those high school days!

Once of my all-time favorite albums from 1973 is Jackson Browne's "For Everyman." Oh, how I loved him--my son's name is Christopher Jackson. Queer, but I don't care. I'm seeing JB here in Las Vegas Saturday night--you can bet I'll be front and center!

How could I have forgotten "Dark Side of the Moon"?!?! I feel like a terrible music lover now. Ugh.
