"To talk of many things..."
Well, this summer is coming (quickly) to a close.
It's been a good one -- I got to see some great concerts (see here, here and here), I got to travel to a foreign country, and I was able to get six hours of college classes out of the way. :)
Friday morning I'll be hitting the road back to school! I've got tons of packing to do until then. Yikes. So more than likely I won't be posting again until early next week since I'll be busy setting up my room and getting all settled in.
Until next time...

About Classic rock girl!
I'm a college student who grew up two decades too late and missed out on some fantastic music. I relive those years through this blog, by talking about anything and everything rock music related from the '60s, '70s, and '80s-- with some of "today's" music thrown in for good measure. Enjoy!

Wow, you've accomplished a lot in the past few months...good for you. I've really enjoyed your blog, keep up the good work!
See you when you get back to it....
Thanks, Whizkid! It's been fun reading all your comments too.
Sounds like you had a great summer. Hope you have a good semester.
Get a kick out of reading your blog ... don't stop ...
You got to see some pretty cool concerts this summer! Of the three you mentioned the Clapton/Winwood show jumped out at me the most. I really dig Winwood (moreso than Clapton)... I really dig some of the stuff Winwood did back in his days in the Spencer Davis Group, Gimme Some Lovin', I'm A Man, and Keep On Runnin' all come to mind.
I like some of Clapton's material-- in particular his older stuff. He mellowed out a bit too much in recent years for my tastes. One of my favorite Clapton recordings is the soundtrack to the movie Rush-- it's almost completely instrumental and all trademark Clapton.
